Healthy Living

Made the choice awhile ago to clean up our diet as I embarked on a healthier lifestyle for myself. I started my journey about three years ago and wanted my children to have healthier choices as well. I began doing research and pricing on organic food in light of all the gmo foods and additives that I learned were so unhealthy. In my search I found organic food to be expensive and my food budget was like umm we can't do it LOL. I have a family of six and it can be expensive buying healthy economical meals. I started to look for economical ways to clean up our diet and so decided to share some tips to save on organic foods that I have found in my journey. We are not 100% organic but I do try to buy as much organic as possible. I hope these tips will help you clean up your families diet too.

Economical Organic Pantry item brands
 Simply Nature (sold at Aldis)
Wild Oats (sold at Walmart)

Economical Organic/Grass Fed Meats
Crescent for poultry and grass fed beef ( sold at Walmart)
Simply Nature grass fed beef (sold at Aldis)
Harvestland meats (sold at Walmart)

Economical Organic Fruits and Vegetables
Aldis
Meijers
Local farmers Market

A great ways to save on Organic fruits and vegetables is buying in bulk when they are on sale, and cleaning and freezing them. A great way to save on meats is also buying when on sale as much as possible, I have found great deals at Walmart on the Crescent brand meats.

OOTD
Black and white aztec romper
Statement Necklace (by chaps)
Gladiator leather heel (old from my closet)

We were celebrating our anniversary on a tour boat and dinner enjoying outdoors so I decided to wear something cute and comfortable. I love this romper it's so cute, comfortable and versatile. I broke the budget bank with this outfit too. I got the romper at Kohls on clearance for $9.60 yes $9.60 and the statement necklace on clearance for $11.60. You can be stylish and not break the bank. I saw a similar romper online a little while back for $80.00 name brand of course. I added the necklace for a pop of color. The shoes I have had a few years and I know they didn't cost a grip but don't remember the price but love them so much. I am a believer you can be stylish and not spend a ton of money, I am a budget shopper and as promised will be sharing my secrets to shopping on a budget.

Fashion/DIY

Loving and enjoying Summer so much. I have been trying to sew this skirt for some time now. I decided to make this for a friends birthday party I was attending and loved it so much I will definitely be making more. I used a tutorial from Sew Rissa on Facebook to make this skirt, thank you girl. I love comfort and cute and this skirt is both. I had about 6 yards of this beautiful fabric, I only used about 2.5 yards for this skirt. Very easy to make and would be great for a beginner. I paired the skirt with a simple green cami and a small leather green clutch, I LOVE clutches. My shoe is a platform open toe heel with a cute bow and is actually pretty comfy.
