Life/ Detox Soup

Detox Soup
Ingredients
1 Turkey leg (optional for flavor)
2 Cans of fire roasted tomatoes
14 oz. bag - (only use 1/2 bag) Onion, celery and bell pepper mix (frozen)
14 oz. bag- Mixed vegetables (frozen)
14 oz. bag- Corn (frozen)
14 oz. bag- of Black eyed peas (frozen)
14 oz. bag- of Spinach (frozen)
4 cups of water
Seasoning- I make my own with turmeric, cinnamon, cumin, smoked paprika and crushed pepper flakes (watch the salt because it contributes to bloating)
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions
Bring turkey drum to a boil in 4 cups of water and add seasonings. Add onion, bell pepper and celery mix, boil about 10 minutes. Add mixed vegetables, corn and black eyed peas and boil an additional 10 minutes and then add spinach and continue to cook on low for approximately 15-20 minutes.

This is my go to soup when I am bloated and my body is telling me it's time to detox. This soup is great if you are experiencing belly bloat or digestive issues. A pot will last about a week and I usually eat this as two meals a day and have a meal with meat for dinner. I only add the turkey drum for flavor because I don't use a lot of salt. The best part of this soup is you can use your favorite vegetables, these are just the ones I chose. You can use the seasonings of your choice, being mindful of sodium intake. This soup has become a weekly staple for me and I love it even more each time I make it. Please share your experience after trying this healthy detox soup.
