Life/ 5 ways to begin a productive day

For me having a morning routine sets the atmosphere for the rest of my day. When I miss my morning routine boy do I feel the burn. I am by nature a planner, so a morning routine is a must. This list of things help me prepare for the day ahead mentally, spiritually and physically.

Prayer and Meditation
My faith is my core beliefs and operating system and so just like a car when it's main computer is experiencing trouble, nothing works properly. This gives me a fresh perspective on the day ahead. Prayer and meditation is a way of life to mange life and all it's goodies. So for me prayer is not optional but intentional and necessary.

Affirmations
Affirmations are a great esteem booster and can be customized to your belief. These help me set my mind to faith and positive thinking.

Motivational Reading
I love reading and my morning read usually consists of the Bible and whatever book I'm reading for the month. I will from time to time read a great magazine or internet article focusing on my goal for the month.

Journaling
I think my journaling experience varies from emotional to poetry. I loveeee writing and I am a fan of hand written letters. Journaling is cathartic for me and is a stress reliever. My entries are a true way of release for me.

Music
I am a music lover and music for me is cathartic, therapeutic, and just enjoyable. I love all kinds of music and enjoy it's therapy. Listening to some great uplifting tunes helps set my mindset for the win for the day.

  1. Great points! I say this as I lay in bed, but in my defense I'm a little under he weather and would hate to get my coworkers sick!

  6. Motivational reading is super important and I didn't even realize the change it brought my life until after I started. Even reconnecting with normal reading helped ground me and center me so much more than I had been. Really helpful tips! :)

  7. I agree that having a plan for the mornings is a big deal. I have a certain routine that I like to follow every morning. Now sometimes things don't always go as planned but it's better to have set things you like to do. Listening to music is always a good thing for me in the mornings. It puts me in a better mood to go to work.
