- Make your self-care mandatory- Make the decision your self-care is not optional but mandatory.
- Set clear priorities/boundaries- This helps to make decisions based on your priorities and set boundaries to have control in what and how you do things in your life.
- Train your children to be independent where they can- This one is everything, because we are to train our children to be productive adults, and this is a benefit for you and them short and long term. (examples: teach them to do chores, teach them to fix themselves something to eat, teach them to be responsible for their actions, teach them honesty, and teach them conflict management) This can be time consuming but in the end you will be grateful, trust me.
